Field Hourly Rate is P250. You need to call their office first to inform them of your intent to use the field: dates and purpose,  then go there to pay for the booking to make sure you get the place reserved. They usually have soccer practice and games for the students at teh seminary. Since it is adjacent to the International Eucharistic Congress Pavilion, they usually have big concerts, parties and corporate events and the field is often used as extra parking, so make sure you book in advance. There are very few open spaces in Cebu available to the public for recreation. The Open Field at the Seminary Minore of the Archdiocese of Cebu, Mabolo, Cebu City is one of the remaining and affordable green spaces in Cebu. The location is accessible via public transportation on the Ayala and IT Park paths.

Team Refuge played for three innings and they were mentored by two new coaches. Iris Abellana, BA Psychology, 1999 graduate of the University of the Philippines Cebu and Racquel Capio, BA Business Management, 1999 graduate of the University of the Philippines Cebu. They are both community development workers with decades of experience in community capacity building. Iris, was a VSO Volunteer in Sierra Leone; while Raquel was a VSO Volunteer in Pakistan. The girls were very fortunate to have been coached by two former softball players from the University of the Philippines Cebu. They learned more about the rules of the game. Their playing greatly improved during this clinic.

After the game, the girls excited asked their coaches about what its like working in community building and the different demands of the work. We ended with a prayer circle wishing the two coaches good health and relationships. It was a fun and inspiring day for the girls. Lots of laugher, cheering and running…. Till the next softball clinic.
