The Divine Providence Children’s Home in Uldog, Talisay has a small playground. It is not open to the public. The Sisters of St. john the Baptist operate the children’s home and were very smart when they made the design for their children’s home. They allocated an open green space for their playground. They have some kids’ play equipment on the side and an open space in the middle with a gazebo and sitting areas on the other side. There is a vegetable garden, a chicken coop and and flower garden.
Hunat Sugbo Team Providence had its first softball clinic on the Eve of the Canonization of the Founder of the Sisters of the St. John Baptist- Fr. Alfonso Maria Fusco. We started the afternoon with a viewing of the life and works of Fr. Fusco, followed by softball- throwing and catching by pairs. It was their first time to play softball. The girls were reluctant to play at first, then later enjoyed playing. Tiring but lots of fun!
