Building Literacy and Resilience Workshop: the Right to Education and the Value of Learning

The Psychology Volunteers on Bikes represented by core members Edna Lee, Mishka Watin, and Monica Manluluyo, conducted the “Building Literacy and Resilience Workshop: the Right to Education and the Value of Learning” with the children of Barangay Tindog, Medellin, Cebu last, August 3, 2014. The workshop was done together with the setting up of the Brgy. Tindog’s Children’s Public Library. It was to provide a deeper understanding of the library’s purpose and to inspire the children to continue and value their education. The program included relaxation techniques, art therapy & team building activities, drum circle and laughter yoga. Thank you very much to those who donated board games and books. Thank you also to Mikko, Andrew & Liam Pablo for the DVDs and to the volunteers for the DVD player and microphones.
