We are facing a convergence of crises, and the solution to it is embarrassingly simple. Using a bike to get to places is a perfect way to help mitigate climate change and uplift the human condition. Not only does it improve physical health, but it also makes people happier, friendlier and more connected to their family as well as other people. Teaching family members how to bike is a good way to bond, and once everyone’s on their wheels, biking together is twice the fun. Biking also fosters zero carbon transport which reduces the amount of smog and smoke that we inhale from the air everywhere we go, and it encourages the development of more parks and urban green lungs where people can enjoy themselves instead of spending all their time and money in malls. With the improvements in our planet brought about by biking, the Earth that the coming generations will experience will not be a bleak, dreary, grim and hopeless world but rather one that is healthy, green, alive and biologically diverse.
