Last week we celebrated the connectedness of the Philippines and the solidarity of the Filipinos. This week, we look on life, history, and human rights. The significance of our heritage lies in how much we value our life and our rights as humans, for it is difficult to value a history that does not respect our existence and the existence of those before us.
Join us as we celebrate International Museum Day and the 2nd Kabilin Fest with a bike ride reaching various care services for women, children, and the aged in Cebu City.
See you on Sunday, May 18, 2014! Meetup is at 6AM at WEST GORORDO HOTEL. There is free lugaw as usual, and free ice cream after the ride. The first 50 registrants will receive a free Kabilin Fest t-shirt!
Come in your (BEST) FILIPINO/HERITAGE ATTIRE and get a chance to win some prizes. Don’t forget to bring along family and friends! If you don’t have bikes, don’t worry, we can lend you one. Just bring any valid ID and come early.
And if you’re up for more, come back for an afternoon full of FREE interactive heritage workshops from 1-4PM that your family and friends will surely enjoy.
