Relief Sharing to Lorega Fire Victims

The Psychology Volunteers on Bikes represented by core members Daryl Mishka Watin, Monica Gloria Manluluyo and Edna Lee together with Cebu-based Filipino-Canadian Volunteer Zed Lee last May 8, 2014 in the sharing of clothes, medicines, shoes and other items to the fire victims of Brgy Lorega, Cebu City.

Thank you very much to our Singapore-based Canadian Volunteers – the Wortman Family – for giving and collecting donations from their friends in Singapore.

Around 7,000 people were left homeless after an estimate of 500 houses in 8 sitios were destroyed by a fire last March 18, 2014. The victims were comprised by roughly 40% of the barangay’s population. As of now, people are starting to rebuild their houses with bamboo, wood and other construction materials.
