Sinulog Sharing at Devotee City

The Psychology Volunteers on Bikes  represented by core members Daryl Mishka Watin, Monica Gloria Manluluyo and Edna Lee was joined by Cebu-based Filipino-Canadian Zed Lee, at the Sinulog Devotee City, South Road Properties, in distributing gifts from Singaporean donors collected by Singapore-based Canadians – The Wortman Family volunteers. Many thanks to all the Singaporean donors for the blankets, towels, sheets, and jackets.

The Devotee City is a temporary cargo container van shelter set up each year in Cebu City as it celebrates the Feast of the Señor Sto. Niño (The Child Jesus). This year (its 28th year), 130 containers have been set up to house about 5,000 people. The accommodated people come from far-away towns and provinces to give thanks to the Child Jesus for sparing them from death during recent natural calamities, especially the earthquake and the typhoons, as well as showering them with blessings all throughout the year.
