Volunteers join RCE Cebu

The Psychology Volunteers on Bikes, represented by Volunteer Coordinator Monica Gloria Manluluyo, Co-Founder Mishka Watin and Co-Founder Edna Lee, is now a member of the RCE Cebu or the Regional Center for Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development.

Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) is a non-stock, non-profit corporation acknowledged by United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies thought as a network that is designed to strengthen the collaboration for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) among regional and local actors. (UNU, 2009) RCE-CEBU aims to create an active, stable, regional resource and communication center and network to document, disseminate, and share the urgent need for, as well as the best practices and responses related to ESD, on poverty alleviation, responsive governance, environment and gender issues, among others. With the University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College as central node and secretariat, RCE-CEBU aims to form a multisectoral network of partners and stakeholders from the academe, civil society, youth, differently-abled, local government units and agencies, business and media, among others.
